The LiveWell Sexual Violence Prevention Ad Hoc Committee is developing and conducting a nine-month community needs assessment focused on sexual violence in Lawrence, Kansas.
Using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Connecting the Dots framework as a guide, the committee will identify and address the community and societal risk factors and protective factors for sexual violence in Douglas County as well as how those factors relate to other forms of violence.
This project will give the committee new insight into how sexual violence looks in our community as well as equip us with innovative tools to prevent violence. Using what we learn from the community needs assessment, our multidisciplinary committee will develop strategic partnerships and creative solutions to keep our community safe from sexual harassment, abuse and assault.
