[ARCHIVED] LiveWell seeking community input about access to healthy foods, activity

LiveWell Lawrence is hosting a Community Health Planning Meeting, where participants will help set priorities for increasing access to nutritious foods and physical activity in Douglas County.

The meeting is open to the public and will be:

  • 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, July 12
  • at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, Building 21, 2120 Harper St.
  • Food and child care will be provided. If you need child care, please contact Karrey Britt at kbritt@ldchealth.org or 785-865-7362 by 5 p.m. July 10.

This is a kickoff event to a series of meetings that will be held this summer. Residents who participate will help set priorities and strategies for Douglas County policymakers, leaders, businesses, agencies, volunteers and residents to work on during the next five years. These strategies will be included in the 2018-2023 Community Health Improvement Plan.
