Come and discover new places to walk, bike, and roll in Douglas County on June 22nd from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the main auditorium at the Lawrence Public Library. Four speakers will share the most recent updates and enhancements to the Lawrence Loop and area trails.
Mark Hecker from Lawrence Parks and Recreation will talk about current construction and future plans for the Lawrence Loop and other city trails.
Kent Williams will share information about Kaw River Commons and community aspirations to build the downtown section of the Lawrence Loop.
Glenn Rodden, City Administrator for Baldwin City, will describe plans for expansion of the Maple Leaf Trail in southern Douglas County.
Chris Tilden, chair of LiveWell Douglas County, will discuss local efforts to promote the use of trails for users of all abilities.
