Learn about the type of products commonly sold by tobacco retailers, such as Kratom & 7-OH, and how a proximity/density policy could help protect youth from accessing tobacco, vapes, and other harmful products. Calling all LiveWell Leadership and Work Groups! It’s time to wrap up 2025 with a fun lunch social and coalition highlights. Enjoy cookie decorating and make-your-own stovetop potpourri.

Safe Kids Douglas County offers FREE car seat checks for parents, grandparents and caregivers in Douglas County. What to expect at a car seat check . . .

A certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) will:

  • Inspect the child restraint and confirm that the child restraint is correct for the size, weight, and age of the child

  • Provide hands-on instruction and education on best practices to install and use child restraint seats in the vehicle according to car seat manufacturer and vehicle instructions

  • Offer guidance on how to correctly place a child in the restraint

  • Answer questions parents or caregivers may have

Eudora Children's Sensory Garden Work Day

Come help us create a new garden space! LiveWell Douglas County, in partnership with Eudora Parks & Recreation, USD 491-Eudora, and Douglas County Extension Master Gardeners, are working together to create a children’s sensory garden in Bluejacket Park. The purpose of the project is to build a calming, outdoor space in a public park where children can explore using sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. Volunteers welcome!
