The Lawrence Times: Black mothers’ testimonies, health department data highlight racial disparities in Douglas County birth outcomes

Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health (LDCPH), LMH Health, LiveWell Douglas County, and the Early Childhood Collective co-hosted Public Health After Dark, a free community event centered on birth outcomes, on Thursday, April 16 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Community Health Facility, 200 Maine Street.

The event was designed to educate the community about local birth outcomes and to spark meaningful dialogue about disparities and the systems, policies, and lived experiences that shape them. Learn more about the event reported by Jacob Rice from The Lawrence Times
